EXTENDED PARIS GUIDE- FOOD AND SHOPPING

Bonjour babes. Ni minns väl att jag var i paris över en weekend för ett par veckor sedan? Trots den korta vistelsen hann vi upptäcka flera riktiga pärlor till restauranger och butiker (mycket tack vare våra kompisar som bor där såklart). Nu tänkte jag utöka mina tidigare guider med några extra tips:

Bonjour babes. Remember that I was in Paris over a weekend a couple of weeks ago? Despite the short stay we discovered some really great restaurants and stores (much thanks to our friends who live there of course). So now I decided to extend my previous Paris guides with some extra tips:

Först och främst: När ni gjort centrum, sett de viktigaste byggnaderna och trängts med de andra turisterna vid Eiffeltornet tycker jag att ni ska utnyttja Paris tunnelbana och se er omkring i stan. Vi bodde med våra polare i 18:e, det var stökigt, färgstarkt och fantastiskt.

First and foremost: Once you’ve done the city center, seen the most important monuments and the Eiffel Tower, take advantage of the Paris subway and have look around the other perts of town. We stayed with our friends in the 18th, it was messy, colorful and amazing.

Låt oss börja med käk! Förutom att äta på otroliga lyrriga franska restauranger finns SÅ mycket billigt att äta också. Utnyttja bagerierna som finns i varje gathörn för att köpa de GO DAS TE färska croissanterna till frukost, eller en nice fylld baguette som lunch att äta vid kanalen eller i en park.

Okay, time to talk about food. Besides form eating in incredible, fancy French restaurants, there is so much so good and so cheep food as well. Visit one of all the bakeries to buy the flakiest, butteriest fresh croissants you’ve ever had for breakfast, or a nice stuffed baguette for lunch to eat by the canal or in a park.

Glöm inte heller alla otroliga fromagerier, ostbutiker. Ta en liten shoppingrunda till din lokala ostbutik, bageri och vinbutik. Peka, provsmaka och prata med personalen. Ta med bytet hem och arrangera LIVETS ostbricka till middag. Njut.

Restaurangen som vi utsåg till vistelsens bästa var Des gars dans la cuisine. På kvällen svider middagarna rejält i plånboken där, men på dagen kan man få två (fantastiska) rätter för under 20 Euro. Via Michelin har rekommenderat restaurangen flera år i rad för sin prisvärdhet och kvalitet. Tummarna upp!

Also, do not forget all the incredible fromageries, cheese shops. Take a small shopping spree to your local cheese shop, bakery and wine shop. Point, taste and talk with the staff. Bring the goodies home and arrange an amazing cheese platter for dinner. Enjoy.

The best restaurant we went to during our stay was Des gars dans la cuisine.  In the evening, the dinners are more pricy, but during  the day you can get two (fantastic) dishes for under 20 Euro. Via Michelin has recommended the restaurant for several years for its value and quality. Thumbs up!

Sean och jag har blivit lite av ett par naturvinsnördar, så ett annat ställe jag måste tipsa om är OVNI. Det är en naturvinsbutik och bar som ligger något kvarter från de turistigare gatorna i Montmartre, utan att för många hittar dit. Vi satt där en hel eftermiddag och NJÖT och småpratade med ägarinnan.

Sean and I have become nature wine nerds, so another place I have to tell you about is OVNI. It’s a natural wine store and bar located a few blocks from the more touristy streets of Montmartre, without too many people finding it. We sat there for a full afternoon just enjoying ourselves and talking with the owner.

Är ni redo för shoppingtips? Klart ni är. Här är tre pärlor i krokarna kring Marais och Republique:
Letar ni efter riktig, välsorterad vintage med märkeskläder till rimliga priser så MÅSTE ni besöka sissi’s corner. Passa på att prata lite med henne när ni ändå är där och kikar, hon är lika fantastisk som sin samling med vintagekläder.

Thanks God I’m a VIP är en annan välsorterad secondhand där allt hänger färgkoordinerat. Speciellt snibb-avdelningen hade väldigt mycket fint.

Slutligen vill jag tipsa om Kiliwatch, en kombinerad koncept store och vintagebutik. Vi fastnade där i flera timmar, både utbudet av vintage och nya kläder föll mig precis i smaken.

Are you ready for shopping tips? Of course you are. Here are three favorite spots in the blocks around Marais and Republique:
If you’re looking for good designer clothes vintage at reasonable prices, you MUST visit Sissi’s corner. Make sure to talk a little with her while you’re there, she’s just as amazing as her collection of vintage clothes.

Thanx God I’m a VIP is another well-sorted second hand where everything hangs color-coordinated. Especially the mens department had some really nice pieces.

Finally, I would like to talk about Kiliwatch, a combined concept store and vintage store. We got stuck there for several hours, both the selection of vintage and new clothes matches my taste perfectly.
