Ăven om jag inte gymmar eller har nĂ„gra ambitioner över huvud taget att bli nĂ„gon slags fitness-person, “trĂ€nar” jag nĂ€stan varje dag. Jag gillar kĂ€nslan av att ha det lilla extra sjĂ€lvförtroendet man fĂ„r nĂ€r man har en hyfsat aktiv livsstil. Jag har totalt gett upp tanken pĂ„ att börja gĂ„ pĂ„ grupptrĂ€ningar eller trĂ€na nĂ„gon sport regelbundet, det slutar alltid med att jag inser att mitt schema Ă€r för tight och att jag faktiskt tycker att det Ă€r roligare att spendera den lilla fritid jag har med vĂ€nner Ă€n i nĂ„gon svettig kĂ€llarlokal.
Man brukar ju sĂ€ga att “den bĂ€sta trĂ€ningen Ă€r den som faktiskt blir av”, och det kan jag skriva under pĂ„. Tricket Ă€r att sĂ€nka kraven och lyssna pĂ„ sig sjĂ€lv (att trĂ€na “mot sin vilja” Ă€r ett vĂ€ldigt effektivt sĂ€tt att snart helt sluta trĂ€na). Jag har Ă€ntligen hittat tre trĂ€ningsformer som gör att jag fĂ„r kĂ€nna mig precis lagom fit utan att behöva lĂ€gga om mitt schema eller ens anstrĂ€nga mig sĂ„ mycket. Jag brukar satsa pĂ„ att fĂ„ in en av dessa trĂ€ningsformer varje dag jag kĂ€nner mig pigg och frisk.
Although I don’t have a gym card or have any aspirations whatsoever to be some kind of fitness person, I work out pretty much every day. I like the feeling of having that little extra confidence you get when you have a fairly active lifestyle. I have totally given up the idea of start going to group workout classes or practice any sport regularly, it always ends up with me realizing that my schedule is too tight, and that I actually think it’s more fun to spend the little free time I have with friends than in a sweaty basement.
People say that “the best workout is the one that you don’t skip”, and I agree. The trick is don’t pressure yourself and listen to your body (to workout “against your will” is a very effective way to soon completely stop exercising). I have finally found three forms of workouts that makes me feel just enough fit without having to change my schedule or even push myself that much. I try to get at least one of these kindos of work outs done every day (when I feel healthy enough):
YOUTUBE WORKOUTS
Att slÄ pÄ en video och rulla ut en yoga-matta pÄ golvet hemma krÀver liksom noll anstrÀngning. Jag gör oftast max 30 minuter lÄnga core-fokuserade pass dÄ de Àr ett bra komplement till min löpning/promenerande och för att jag tycker att det Àr roligast. Det luriga med denna trÀningsform Àr att hitta bra och effektiva videos, dessa Àr mina favoriter:
To turn on a video and roll out a yoga mat on the floor at home requires zero effort. I usually do core-focused workouts because they are a good complement to my running/walking, plus I think ab workouts are the most fun. The tricky part is to find good and effective videos, these are my favorites:
10 minute ab workout– an intense ab workout that definitely will make your abs hurt tomorrow, but still just takes 10 minutes.
20 minute beginner yoga flow– a chill routine for days I feel stiff from sitting by the computer and to tired to do a too intense workout.
30 minute pilates workout– I love to do this workout when I feel that I have a lot of extra energy. It’s an intense and fun video that really makes me sweat. I don’t like too repetitive workout so this one is perfect for me.
RUNNING

Running is the best therapy when the weather is good, just lace up your shoes and run. These are the three apps I use the most to motivate myself in the running track:
Zombies, run! – This app makes running sooo exciting. It turns your work out to a life and death mission where you, as one of a few survivors of a zombie epidemic, have to gather supplies, rescue survivors and run from zombies to save humanity. If you like exciting games, this will make you run like never before.
Runkeeper- you all probably know about this app, but I still think it’s the best way to keep track of your speed, duration and location during your runs.
Podcaster- If I don’t play the zombies game, I mostly listen to podcasts. That’s a great way to forget that you’re actually working out, haha. Most of the podcasts I listen to are about 40 minutes- which is a perfect amount of time for a run for me.
EVERYDAY “TRANSPORTATION”
Om jag inte Àr pepp pÄ nÄgot annat brukar jag bara se till att gÄ de 5 kilometrarna till eller frÄn jobbet/skolan istÀllet för att anvÀnda lokaltrafik, och om somrarna cyklar jag för det mesta överallt. Om jag ÀndÄ ska ta mig frÄn A till B kÀnns det liksom inte ens jobbigt att passa pÄ att göra det till fots/med cykel istÀllet.
If I’m not in the mood for something else, I usually just walk the five kilometers to and from school instead of using public transport, and in the summer I bike everywhere. If I’m going to have to take myself from A to B anyway, it doesn’t really feel like an effort to do it by foot/by bike instead.
