Okej, vi kan konstatera att det är mindre än 5 dagar kvar till julafton nu. Men stressa icket!
Okay, it’s officially less than a week until xmas and i guess the stress of finding the perfect xmas gifts are getting under our skin. I guess its a sign of growing up, but as the years pass I get less and less interested in xmas gifts. Or let’s put it this way: I LOVE giving and receiving xmas gifts, but rather small and personal than a pile of stuff you don’t really need. Writing a list of things you want people to buy for you is far from what christmas is about. I think our favorite minimalist Love aestetics has written some thought worthy posts on this topic Here and Here. But let’s get to it- how can we get those last xmas gifts in time for xmas without stressing out or buying stuff that won’t be fully appreciatied? Well, I have some pretty good tips:
For the fashion lover…
SCARF- ACNE
This is typically one of those fashion gifts that can’t go wrong. Everyone needs a scarf in the winter time, and these cozy acne scarves are so minimalistic that everyone would like them. Also a typical thing you’d never treat yourself with (“who puts 100 EUR on a scarf?”) so without you, this person wouldnt get to experience the feeling of warming his/her neck with this masterpiece.
HOODIE- CHAMPIONxWEEKDAY
I mean come on, who (under 40) hasn’t seen and fallen in love with the ChampionxWeekday pieces?
When ur out of xmas money…
CUTTINGS
If you already have plants at home, this wont have to cost you an euro. Just make sure to package the little green baby in a nice way, maybe in a homemade haning flowerpot? (they’re really easy to make!)
A HOME COOKED DINNER
Invite the person to dinner in your home! Make him or her a nice three course dinner and spend some quality time together. I just found these recipes at bloglovin, and I’m dying to try them all.
For the beauty junkie..
A NICE FACE MASK
God, I’d get soo happy if I got this pumpkin enzyme mask for xmas, but as you all know by now I’m a bit obsessed with acid peelings. The stronger the better, haha. If the person has a little more sensitive skin, I’d recommend a little more moisturising mask like this one. I think face masks area great gifts because it’s like telling someone that he or she should take some time and just spoil themselves.
OLAPLEX
OLAPLEX is the ultimate gift for someone who wants healthier, shinier hair. It’s such a miracle product the person will be grateful for years that you introduced it for her/him.
For a loved one living far away…
A TRIP TO VISIT YOU
Haha, this is my favorite one! I always give this to my loved ones, it might be a bit selfish but it’s always apprechiated. For example, I gave my sister flight tickets to visit me in Berlin last year, and mom and dad are giving us tickets to celebrate xmas with them this year. It’s a nice way to staying close to your loved if you don’t live in the same country/city.
A LITTLE CLONE
Remember the little 3D printed clone I made? Haha, YES, I seriously thought about giving my parents a clone of me to have on their adventures, but I decided not to because it felt slightly too narcissistic, haha. But I still think it’s a fun idea to get a clone of someone you love, or maybe get a gift card to make one yourself.
IF YOU STILL DON’T KNOW WHAT TO GET AFTER ALL THESE TIPS…
Don’t buy something unnecessary, please! If you really don’t know what to get- donate cash to a good cause to make the world a little better place <3
