MY CREATIVE SPACE

Okej, nu är det dags för mig att visa några bilder från lägenheten. Vi börjar med kontoret tänkte jag.
Anledningen till att det tagit så lång tid för mig att ta dessa bilder är att jag hela tiden väntat på att allt ska bli klart, att det ska vara städat och soligt ute så att ljuset kan strila in genom fönstren. Men för det mesta är det ju inte helt städat, soligt och verkligen inte färdig-inrett (kommer det någonsin bli det?), så varför bemöda sig med att vänta på “rätt tillfälle”? Det är väl i ärlighetens namn roligare för er att se hur det ser ut allt som oftast, med härvor av sladdar på golven och böckerna på sned i bokhyllan? Dåså:

Okay, now it’s time for me to show some pictures from the apartment. Let’s start with the office.
The reason that it took so long for me to take these pictures is that I’m always waiting for everything to be perfect, that everything should be perfectly clean and it’s sunny outside so that the light can shine through the windows. But most of the time it’s not cleaned, sunny and definitely not finished furniture wise (will it ever be?), so why wait to for a “perfect timing”? In the name of honesty, it’s more interesting for you to see what it usually looks like, with wires all over the floor and books in a mess in the bookshelf? Well then:

Hej och välkomna till mitt kreativa krypin! Här sitter jag dag ut och dag in, biter på pennor, fäster mina röriga anteckningar på armeringsjärnet med magneter, sörplar skållhett kaffe och sneglar på Sean som sitter intill och pysslar med sitt eget jobb (bokföring och musikproduktion). Förutom oss två sitter Erik och jobbar med Grafisk Design tillsammans med hunden Helen på vårt kontor.

Hello and welcome to my creative space! Here’s where I everyday, biting on pencils, attaching my messy notes to the reinforcement iron with magnets, sipping on hot coffee and glancing at Sean, sitting next to me with his own work (bookkeeping and music production). In addition to us, the graphic designer Erik and works his dog Helen sits in our office.

Detta är synen man möts av när man kommer hem till oss (vi har nämligen inte ordnat någon dörr till kontoret). Så mysig arbetsplats.

This is the sight you first get when you come to our home (we haven’t arranged a door to the office). Such a cozy place to work.

Alltså det är ju LÅNGT ifrån klart men jag vill visa er ändå. Så kan jag göra en ny tour när allt är färdigt.
Till exempel har Sean alla sina musik-maskiner i kontoret nu, eftersom han inte är klar med studion han håller på att bygga i rummet intill. När de ryker kommer vi ha bra mycket mer space (och kanske ta in en till person i vårt lilla kontor).

As I told you, it’s FAR from done but I want to show you anyway. Then I can do a new tour when everything is done.
For example, Sean has all his music machines in the office right now, because he’s not ready with the studio he is building in the room next door. When they’re gone, we’ll have a lot more space (and maybe take in another person in our little office).

Jag brukar beställa buketter från bloomon då och då, de håller fett länge och med tanke på hur otroligt fina de är tycker jag att priset är helt okej. Det känns så lyxigt med fina buketter hemma. Postern sattes upp lite spontant ovanför den gamla vintage-fåtöljen efter Seans label night.

I usually order bouquets from bloomon every now and then, they stay happi for a long time and given how incredibly pretty they are, I think the price is quite alright. It feels so luxurious to have nice bouquets at home. The poster was put up slightly spontaneously above the old vintage armchair after Sean’s label night last week.

Min favorit-grej i hela kontoret är detta bord som är handgjort av de fantastiska möbel-makarna på Johanenlies. Jag är så himla glad för det! Så stor skillnad mot de billigaste bockhornsbenen och spånskivorna från Ikea som jag jobbat vid de senaste åren. Armeringsjärnet ska förresten också upp på väggen så fort Seans musikgrejer har flyttats till studion, just nu får det stå lutat mot väggen.

My favorite thing in the whole office is this table handmade by the fantastic furniture makers at Johanenlies. I’m so happy for it! Such a big difference from the cheapest desks from Ikea that I’ve been working on the recent years. By the way, we’ll put up the rebar board on the wall as soon as Sean’s music stuff have been moved to the studio, right now it has to stand leaning against the wall.
