BERLIN GUIDE- MY FAVORITE CAFÉS

Okej, det är hög tid att komma igång igen med min Berlin-guide, eller hur? Del 1 om mina bästa gratisaktiviteter hittar ni HÄR. I detta inlägg tipsar jag er om mina favvo-cafeer i stan:

Okay, it’s time to continue with my Berlin Guide posts, right? Part 1 with my top free activities you can be found here. In this post I’ll tell you about my fav cafes in town:

ROAMERS – Pannierstraße 64

De som har koll på mig kan inte ha missat hur mycket jag älskar roamers. Ett av få ställen i mitt liv som jag faktiskt kunnat kalla mig riktig stammis, ni vet så att man morsar på personalen och har stenkoll på menyn (där för övrigt ALLT rekommenderas). Bodde vägg i vägg med roamers förut och saknar fortfarande att gå förbi där varje dag. Plus för den sjukt estetiskt tilltalande inredning, minus för att det ofta är helt fullt.

Those of you who have an eye on me can’t have missed how much I love roamers. One of the few places that I’ve actually been able to call myself a regular, you know, one that always say hello to staff and know on the menu without reading it. I lived next door to Roamers before and I still miss not passing by there every day. Big plus for the insanely aesthetically pleasing interiors, minus for the lack of empty tables/chairs most days.

DALUMA – Weinbergsweg 3

Daluma är också en stor favvo. Relativt nyöppnat café vid rosenthalerplatz med allt från bra kaffe, smoothies, chiapuddingar och kokosyoghurt på menyn. Det bästa av allt är deras fantastiska veganska sallader, där man själv väljer topping och bas. Otroligt smakrikt, mättande och fräscht! Plus i kanten för astrevlig personal.

Daluma’s also a big favorite. It’s a relatively newly opened cafe at Rosenthaler Platz with everything from good coffee, smoothies, chia puddings and coconut yogurt on the menu. Best of all is their amazing vegan salads, where you choose a topping and base yourself. Incredibly flavorful, satisfying yet fresh! And the staff is super cool and friendly.

TISCHENDORF – Friedel Straße 25

Tischendorf är ett superfint café nära maybachufer som är himla gulligt och billigt. Väldigt bra spana-på-folk-läge. Går ni dit måste ni testa bananbrödet med ricotta (eller vego-smör för veganer), det här helt jäkla magiskt.

Tischendorf’s a super nice cafe near the Maybachufer that is super cute and affordable. Very good looking-at-people-location. If you go there you just have to try the banana bread with ricotta (or plant butter for vegans), it’s totally freaking magical.

FIVE ELEPHANT – Reichenberger Str. 101

Five Elephant är ett fint café med riktigt grymt kaffe. Det ligger lite off men är supermysigt om man har vägarna förbi.

Five Elephant is a nice cafe with seriously awesome coffee. It’s located a little off but it’s a super cozy place to hang out if you’re in the area

THE KLUB KITCHEN – Mulackstraße 15

Jag har bara varit på The Klub Kitchen en gång men kommer definitivt att gå tillbaka. Perfekt läge efter en shoppingrunda vid weinmeisterstrasse (de flesta andra kaféerna i området lämnar mycket att önska enligt mig). Superfräscht och estetiskt tilltalande (lägg märke till det superfina porslinet, till exempel!), och mycket spännande grejer på menyn. Här ovan skådar ni till exempel en asgod avocadomacka med koriander samt pocherade ägg i yoghurt med paprikasmör (vilket jag var aningen mer positivt överraskad av än min café-dejt gnusse). Aningen dyrare än de andra haken jag tipsat om men definitivt överkomligt.

I’ve only been at The Klub Kitchen once but I’ll definitely go back. Perfect place to recharge your batteries after a shopping spree at Weinmeisterstraße (most other cafes in the area leaves much to be desired in my opinion). Super Fresh and aesthetically pleasing (note the suuuuper pretty china, for example!), and a very exciting menu. Above you see an avocado sandwich with chili and herbs and poached eggs in yoghurt with paprika butter (which I was slightly more happy with than my date Gustaf). A little more expensive than the other places in this guide but not too fancy.

GORDON – Allerstraße 11

Sist men inte minst- Gordon. Det andra av de två haken jag lyckats bli stammis på under min tid i Berra. Det ligger runt hörnet från min lägenhet och jag har spenderat många arbetsdagar där innan jag skaffade kontor. Väldigt bra bord för jobb, mycket gott kaffe plus billigt fika, supergullig personal och bäst av allt- längst in i caféet finns en avdelning med vinyler med bra elektronisk musik att lyssna igenom/köpa. Personalen hjälper mer än gärna till att guida dig genom skivorna om du känner dig lite lost. Så himla himla bra ställe.

Last but not least- Gordon. The second of the two places I’ve managed to become a regular at during my time in Berlin. It’s located around the corner from my apartment and I have spent many working days there before I got myself an office. Very good tables for sitting with your laptop, very good coffee plus cheap sweets, super nice staff and best of all- in the back of the café there is a section with vinyls with good electronic music to listen through/buy. The staff will be more than happy to guide you through the vinyls if you feel a little lost. I just love hanging out there.
