ANSWERS- LIFE IN BERLIN

Hur ser du pĂ„ utelivet i Berlin? Vilka Ă€r dina favoritstĂ€llen? Vart kommer man alltid in?
Utelivet i Berlin Ă€r sĂ„ bra.

Do you have any plans on moving back to Sweden, or maybe another city in Europe? I would love to go to another city in Europe, but I don’t know where that would be. I thin I’ll move back to Sweden within a year or two, but I don’t know. We’ll just have to wait and see!

Is the integration in Berlin easy? Like, what are the most common struggles for a stranger? It is easy to find a work?
Well, it feels like almost 90% of the persons in Berlin have moved to berlin to work, study or have fun, so we’re all kind of in the same position so that makes it easy to not feel like an outsider. It’s easy to find simple jobs as an english speaking person, but it’s always easier if you know at least a little German. The struggles I’ve had since moving to Berlin are few, but it took a while for me to learn how to hadle cash, and not using my card all the time, haha. In Sweden we never pay with coins or bills, but in Berlin there’s several places that only accept cash.

Intergration in Berlin is easy.

Hello Ebba ! I was wondering how did you decide you wanted to move from Sweden to Germany. I mean if it was very difficult to take the decision or not. I’m a girl from France and since I’m finally finishing college I want to change horizons but I don’t really know if I’m ready to leave my country.
It was sooo easy. I just packed my bag and left, and suddenly I didn’t live in Sweden anymore, haha. To be honest it still doesn’t feel like a very big deal, it’s just like living in another town. I still have skype, facetime and facebook, and taking a flight back to Sweden just takes an hour! I really recommend moving from your hometown, I’ve learnt so much and if you don’t like it I promise that your town will be right where you left it- you can always go back!

This is something I miss in Berlin- being close to the nature and the wide ocean, and my dogs.

What do you miss most from Sweden when you are in Berlin (except for family and friends)? The huge forest, the ocean, the language and something called “nature candy”- it’s like bulk candy but it consists of nuts, dried fruits and yoghurt chocolate and stuff.
